Help us shape our Equality Outcomes

Date Published: 09 April 2021

We are in the process of developing new equality aims from 2021 to 2025 and as part of this exercise we are asking staff to share their views.

These aims will focus on ‘protected characteristics’ which apply to all of us. Examples of ‘protected characteristics’ include age, race, religion, disability, sex and sexual orientation.

Developing equality aims is something we are required to do by law. The Coronavirus pandemic has had a significant impact on all of our lives, and this will need to be considered in our planning to ensure we support those who need it most.

The first stage of the process was to seek the views of Aberdeenshire residents by using an online survey to help us identify areas they feel we need to focus on to improve people's life opportunities.

Now we are seeking the views of staff to explore the survey results a bit further and hopefully hear some first-hand experiences.

A staff conversation event is being held from 10:30am to 12pm on Monday, April 19 on Teams. There are 15 spaces currently available.
If you would like to share your views and join the discussion, please contact Marketing and Communications Officer Jonathan Moyes by emailing Jonathan.Moyes@aberdeenshire.gov.uk. You will receive a diary invite. The places are available on a first come first served basis.
