Director of Education and Children’s Services Laurence Findlay shared his personal journey of losing weight and getting fit which in turn helped him feel positive during lockdown.
During the first Education and Children’s Services Team Talk of the year, he encouraged colleagues across Education and Children’s Services to look after themselves both mentally and physically. “We must continue to shine a light on wellbeing,” he said.
Health Promotion Officer Mitch Robertson gave a PowerPoint presentation exploring wellbeing, physical and mental health, as well as offering suggestions on how colleagues can take steps to give them all a boost.
There was also a questionnaire taking the service’s temperature about health and wellbeing and a question and answer session run by Laurence and Mitch.
