The information we ask you to provide while completing this online form will allow us to update our records and ensure that your Council Tax account accurately reflects your circumstances now that you may no longer be responsible for a property in the Aberdeenshire Council area.

 

Where you have moved out of the Aberdeenshire Council area, but are still responsible for a Council Tax charge it will also allow us to award any/all reductions to which you may be entitled.

Second Home

A Second Home is defined in legislation as 'a dwelling which is no one's sole or main residence, but which is furnished and in respect of which, during any period of 12 months, the person liable to pay the council tax that is chargeable can produce evidence to establish that it is lived in other than a sole or main residence residence for at least 25 days during that period'.
