Opening of newly expanded Macduff Medical Practice

The newly expanded Macduff Medical Practice will begin operating from their new premises this Wednesday, May 1.

The practice has grown by over 6,000 patients, after agreeing to expand to take on the patients formerly registered with the Deveron Medical Practice.

To better accommodate the larger patient and staff group the decision was made to move into the newer and larger, former premises of the Deveron Medical Practice. Dr. Brooker, Partner in the Macduff Medical Practice said: “Myself and the other partners are all really looking forward to marking this new beginning with the opening of our new, (to us!) medical centre.

“The building that we are moving to was purpose built and is only a few years old however there has been a lot of work that has been required to ensure that the building is ready for us all, patients and staff, on opening day. I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of myself and the partners, to thank all of our staff and the teams from Aberdeenshire Health & Social Care Partnership, for all of the hard work that has been done in the background to make this all possible.

“I would also like to thank the people of Banff and Macduff for their support and goodwill and I hope that everything will go smoothly however there may well be some very small hiccups and I would like to thank them all in advance for their patience!”

Mark Simpson, Partnership Manager for the AHSCP said: “I am so pleased that we have been able to secure future provision of Primary Care Services for the populations of Banff and Macduff. And I would especially, like to thank the Partners and staff at the Macduff practice and everyone else who has worked on this project, for the time, effort and can-do-attitude that everyone has shown”
