Updated Action Programme to support local development now online

An updated document supporting delivery of the Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan is now available on the council website.

The Aberdeenshire Action Programme identifies the actions which will help implement the policies and proposals in the Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan 2017 (LDP) and demonstrates how the council is working with its partners to implement these. Whilst it is a legal requirement to publish an update every two years, Aberdeenshire Council exceeds this by producing one annually.

The programme, which is essentially a ‘live’ document, has been prepared to support the delivery of the LDP 2017. It has been produced in consultation with key agencies, landowners and the development industry and provides a snapshot of the most up-to-date position at the time of publishing.

It will reflect progress and provide the latest position on sites allocated for development but officers in the Planning Information and Delivery Team will be continually updating records as and when information becomes available.

The team is working with developers and other key stakeholders to deliver sites allocated in the LDP and are able to offer assistance for any developer or landowner wishing to progress a development site.

For anyone interested in development opportunities across Aberdeenshire, to complement the Action Programme, the Aberdeenshire Site Prospectus provides details of a range of sites which are immediately available for development. The documents are available on Aberdeenshire Council’s website: http://bit.ly/2yWrgHD
