SS802G E&M Lees Finzean bus. First stop will be Finzean Hall this morning. Shooting Greens inaccessible at present for bus. SS802O Premier Braemar bus. Bus has broken down in Braemar. No replacement transport is available at this time. Pupils should return home.

We are delaying opening until 9.30 this morning to allow staff and pupils to travel safely. Bill will attempt his route and will pick up 30 minutes later. Sylvia will attempt a modified route and will be in touch with affected parents, again she will run 30 minutes later than normal. Kininmonth Cabs (NP406B26) will NOT be running. If parents take their child to school you must also collect them at the end of the day or earlier if we have to close early.

Please ensure children come dressed appropriately for the weather with a change of shoes for indoors. Good morning, To support safe travel for all, our school and nursery will open at 10am. School transport (buses and Phil's taxi will run on this 'one hour delayed schedule' as per yesterday). Our other school taxi service (central north) will not be running again today. School will close at the end of the day as per normal and in the event of any further changes, expressions messages will be used to update families. Please note that nursery will close at 4.30pm. In the event of more challenging weather or travelling conditions parents will be supported if they wish to request an early collection via contacting the school office. Good morning, as there has been further snowfall in the Methlick/Meldrum area overnight, the decision has been taken to delay the opening of both school and nursery until 10 am this morning to allow everyone to travel safely and in daylight. The ABC bus and the Watermill buses will not be running today. Updates will be shared as we hear from the other bus operators. Update - Gordon's bus will not be running today. As far as we are aware, the Aberdeenshire Taxis bus and Premier Coaches will be attempting their routes in line with the delayed opening.

However, due to localised drifting and poor road conditions on some side roads we do expect some travel disruption, we will update this page as soon as we receive information from our transport operators. Opening delayed

Skene School will open at 9:30am on Thursday 21st November. With further snow fall locally and predicted sub-zero temperatures, we wish to provide families and staff additional time to travel safely to school and in daylight. School transport has been notified and collection times will be adjusted as necessary. The delay will allow time to assess the conditions of the car park and paths with further treatment, if required. This is to allow all families and staff to travel to school safely and in daylight. Pupils should go directly to their period 1 class.
