Candidates confirmed for Banff and Inverurie by-elections

The candidates for upcoming by-elections in the Banff and Inverurie areas of Aberdeenshire have been confirmed, following the close of nominations.

The by-elections have been arranged to fill single vacancies in two wards:  Banff and District, and Inverurie and District. The candidates have been confirmed as follows: 

Banff and District (Ward 1)

Inverurie and District (Ward 11)

Neil Baillie	Scottish National Party (SNP)
Colin Clark	Scottish Conservative and Unionist
Sarah Flavell	Scottish Labour Party

 

 
Polling for both by-elections will take place on Thursday, November 3. Votes will be counted at the Garioch Sports Centre, Inverurie, on Friday, November 4, and the successful candidates confirmed immediately thereafter.

All registered residents aged 16 or over in both wards will be eligible to vote, with the deadline for new registrations being Tuesday, October 18.
