Date set for pre-determination hearing on proposed development in Banff and Buchan
A pre-determination hearing will be held to discuss an application that has been submitted for a new housing development in Banff and Buchan.
The proposed development consists of 37 houses at Westhaven, Cairnbulg in Fraserburgh.
A pre-determination hearing is a formal process allowing those who have already submitted valid representations, as well as the applicant and consultees, to express their views to Councillors before any decision is taken.
These hearings are not public consultation events.
Site visits will take place before the meetings and information will be available on the Aberdeenshire Council website.
Councillors will visit the relevant site prior to the hearing, but will not hear arguments for or against the proposals during the visit.
Although no decision will be made on the application at the hearing, it will be minuted and all points raised will be placed before the Banff and Buchan Area Committee when it discusses the application.
A report on the application will then go to a meeting of the Full Council detailing local views, where councillors will be asked to determine the application.

Copies of reports to be presented at the hearing, letters of representation received and pre-determination hearing procedures will be available from the Banff and Buchan Area Office one week before the hearing.

The pre-determination hearing will take place at 6.30pm on Thursday 31 August 2017 at Inverallochy School, School Street, Inverallochy, Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, AB43 8XZ
Site Visit
The site visit will take place at 5.45pm on Thursday 31 August 2017. Details of the site visit will be posted on the Council website prior to the visit.
