Closure required as part of resurfacing work on the A947

A short road closure will be necessary to complete essential resurfacing works on the A947 in Macduff at the Duff Street/Myrus Avenue junction on Saturday. (September 16)

The final phase of work had originally been planned to be carried out with a convoy system in place, but a closure is necessary for the safety of the workforce and road users.

The works will revert to the original convoy system with a 10mph speed limit on Sunday, September 17, when road markings will be applied.

Myrus Avenue and Duff Street will remain closed as originally planned.

Road users will still be able to access the cemetery, driving range, sports centre and car park on Duff Street from the north, while access to housing in Myrus Avenue is via a local diversion.

Access to Myrus Holiday Park should not be affected by the works.
