Aberdeenshire Council and RCS commitment to North East Hub - update

Meetings have taken place between Aberdeenshire Council and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to review the pilot of the RCS North East Arts Hub. Both parties have committed to engaging in partnership with North East communities through the arts and have agreed the next phase of activity.

There will be some changes to the way the work will be delivered.

The Junior Conservatoire Foundation Acting programme is due to conclude in May, however plans are in place to support those already in the programme to continue to develop their skills.

The community provision will continue in the form of an intensive creative project and the development of online resources suitable for teachers and teaching artists, with more details being shared when they have been agreed.

It is essential that this programme continues to evolve to meet local demand and to maximise local talent in the North East of Scotland.
