Ambitious teachers poised to help pupils achieve more than they could ever imagine

29 teachers from across Aberdeenshire received recognition from the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS), The Tapestry Partnership and senior council officers this week for their work on a ‘Leading Learning in the School’ programme.

Each has received a professional recognition certificate accredited by the GTCS for their work.

Maggie Farrar CBE who is former Head of the National College for School Leadership addressed the group on ‘Leading, Learning, Flourishing’, exploring how teachers can flourish by staying open to learning and attending to their own wellbeing and sense of purpose.

Ellen Doherty, Director of Education, Registration and Professional Learning at the GTCS then presented the participants with their certificates and encouraged the group to keep learning, recognising they are the people who put men and women on the moon and they are the people who can help kids achieve more than they could ever imagine.
