Formal bridge closure notifications issued after flood damage

Following the weekend's flooding and subsequent damage to a number of bridges, a series of formal closure notifications have been issued by Aberdeenshire Council.

Due to collapsed bridges there will be no pedestrian or vehicular access for a period of three weeks commencing September 30, 2019 at the following affected areas:

• U12S Plaidy – Strocherie - Hawkhill Road at Mill Croft Bridge and Balmaud Bridge
• C9S Foulzie - Fisherie Cotwells Road at Bridge of Fortrie
• C7S King Edward – Gorrachie – Fisherie Road at Bridge of Gorrachie
• B9105 Fintry – Cauldwells Road at South Mains Bridge (diversion via B9105 Fintry – Cauldwells Road to A98 at Woods of  Byth, A98 to Macduff then A947 at Banff Bridge, A947 to B9105 at Burnt Smithy)

Owing to bridge repair works to be carried out by Aberdeenshire Council there will be no access for either vehicles or pedestrian traffic from September 30 until further notice at:

• U17S at Burn of Litterty (Diversion via B9105, A947 (Turriff), C18S (Delgaty), B9170 (Cuminestown), C15s (Gardenstown), U17S Fintry)

As the result of an unsafe bridge there will be no pedestrian or vehicular access for a period of three weeks commencing September 30, 2019 at:

• C51L Outseat Road at Bridge of Bruntyards
