New wellbeing resources online for parents and carers

A brand new website created by our Educational Psychology Service contains a range of resources for parents to help support children and young people through the difficult time we find ourselves in.

It includes Covid-19 specific resources, as well as wellbeing resources, and dedicated resources for children with additional support needs. Visit the new site at: https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/as/aberdeenshireeps/

Principal Educational Psychologist Carron Douglas explains: "We're committed to continuing to support children and families across Aberdeenshire, by finding new ways to engage and support parents and carers. The new website will make lots of the advice we can offer much more accessible and we hope our local communities will find this useful."

The team is also now manning a dedicated phone line for parents/carers and professionals who would like to talk through any education or wellbeing concerns about a child or young person. This is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 3pm by calling 01779 403721.If you would prefer for the team to call you back, please email eps@aberdeenshire.gov.uk with your name and number.

More resources to support home-learning for pupils who speak English as an additional language have been developed by our EAL Service, and can be accessed at: https://asn-aberdeenshire.org/english-as-an-additional-language/
