Second call for nominations for Lumphanan Community Council

A second call for nominations is being made to fill seven vacancies on Lumphanan Community Council.

The importance of community councils has become more evident throughout the pandemic and it is vital that enough people put themselves forward to allow the Lumphanan organisation continue its good work.

If insufficient numbers of residents come forward, then the community council would be automatically dissolved, leaving Lumphanan with no community council to represent them.

Forms must be returned by 4pm on Tuesday, June 8 to marr@aberdeenshire.gov.uk or posted to Marr Area Office, School Road, Alford, AB33 8TY and should the number of nominees outnumber the places available, a ballot will take place on Wednesday, June 16.

Nomination forms are available from the Aberdeenshire Council website at https://www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/communities-and-events/community-councils/cc-election/marr-elections/ or from marr@aberdeenshire.gov

You can also request a copy by calling 019755 20400.

The community council’s virtual annual general meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 29 at 7pm.
