Weather/weather warnings

The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for wind and snow on Tuesday (Dec 7). Heavy snow is expected to affect inland areas of Aberdeenshire, while strong winds are expected to affect the east coast of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

For the latest information on the warnings, visit www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/warnings-and-advice/

It will remain cold today with the possibility of light showers or snow flurries in the north. Road service temperatures are expected to be widely below zero this evening, with icy patches likely. Patchy rain, sleet and hill snow is expected from the west later in the night. Snow is possible on some roads, mainly in the west and above 200m.

Monday afternoon is expected to be dry and bright, with road surface temperatures again widely below zero, with a risk of ice in places. The majority of primary routes will be gritted this evening and again tomorrow.
