Repairs to Peterhead Leisure and Community Centre may affect facilities from October 12

A series of repair works will take place at Peterhead Leisure and Community Centre from Monday, October 12 on a phased basis.

The heating system serving Peterhead Academy and swimming pool will be repaired during the school holidays to avoid disruption to the school. Flooring in the swimming pool village changing area is also being replaced.

Head of Lifelong Learning and Leisure John Harding said: “We ask for patience from the local community and visitors to the centre whilst works are completed.

“Scheduling of repair work is in place to avoid minimum disruption to the school, unfortunately this is also in the school holidays so unavoidably has a wider impact, though we will reopen facilities as soon as we can.

“I apologise for any inconvenience while these renovations take place and assure the public that the works will ensure that the facilities are in top shape for all to use as soon as they can.”

There will be a staged re-opening of areas as work is completed.
