Second phase of pricing schedule for halls and education lets to take effect in August

The second phase of a project to standardise fees for halls and education lets managed by Aberdeenshire Council is to take effect from Wednesday, August 1.

The new pricing structure for has been in place since 2017 and many groups are already paying the revised charges.

But for long-term users whose fees varied across Aberdeenshire, a series of phased increases has been arranged to bring all groups in line with the updated pricing schedule.

Letters have been sent to user groups who will see a change this year, which will involve a rise of no more than 50% of fees paid during the 2016/17 financial year.

Next year will see a rise of no more than 80% of the original fee, with all user groups across Aberdeenshire paying the same amount from 2020.

As the locally-agreed fees varied across Aberdeenshire, the specific changes for individual groups will therefore differ but none will pay anything above the new pricing schedule – and some will even pay less than before for certain bookings.
