Creative visual merchandising event for businesses in Banchory, Huntly and Stonehaven

Businesses in Banchory, Huntly and Stonehaven will get the opportunity to hear expert advice on creative visual merchandising next week.

The one-to-one retail consultancy sessions have been funded by a LEADER grant through the South Aberdeenshire Local Action Group (SALAG).

Local businesses signed up to the scheme following its launch in January where they met Gordon Bell from ‘The Retailer’ for an introduction to the scheme.

A positive response has been received in each town and initial one-to-one consultations have taken place with The Retailer.

Each business will receive access to specialist expertise and confidential advice tailored to its individual needs, to help maintain long-term sustainability.

Next week, visual merchandising expert Lynda Murray from International Visual will be the keynote speaker.

Lynda is passionate about ‘the look’ of stores and public spaces and develops and nurtures creative ideas, priding herself on creating design solutions which deliver to the agreed brief, focusing on the appearance of stores, their functionality and their sales results.

The visual merchandising networking events are open to all businesses within Banchory, Huntly and Stonehaven on the following dates:

• Stonehaven: Tuesday, February 11 at 6 pm at the Stonehaven Community Centre, Bath Street, Stonehaven

• Banchory: Wednesday, February 12 at 6 pm at The Hub, Banchory West Parish Church, High Street, Banchory (Mount Street entrance).

• Huntly: Thursday, February 13 at 7 pm at the Linden Centre, Castle Street, Huntly

The project is a SALAG (South Aberdeenshire Local Action Group) LEADER-funded commissioned project. LEADER is funded by the Scottish Government and the European Union’s European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
