Community Renewal Fund project proposals invited by Aberdeenshire Council

As a designated lead authority for the UK Government’s Community Renewal Fund, Aberdeenshire Council is inviting project proposals from local organisations.

The £220 million fund aims to support people and communities most in need across the UK and will be allocated on a competitive basis to projects which invest in skills, local business, communities and place or support people into employment.

Projects must be delivered and fully completed by March 2022 and applicants are encouraged to maximise impact and deliverability through larger projects (£500,000+) where this is possible.

Applicants should note that 90% of funding available through the UK Community Renewal Fund is revenue funding.

The role of the council is to appraise bids for Aberdeenshire and submit a shortlist of projects to the UK Government by mid-June.

In order to meet this timescale, the deadline for proposals to be submitted to the Council is noon on May 24th.

Owing to the short window for submissions, potential applicants are encouraged to contact the council’s Economic Development Service as soon as possible via externalfunding@aberdeenshire.gov.uk or on 01467 536 418.
