A pair of standing stones. The stones were first recorded by the OS and appear on both the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps. The stones, the northern of which is now fallen, are situated at the east end of a low natural mound on the south-facing slope 260m south of Knowehead steading. The upright stone is 2.2 m high, x 1.2 m wide x 0.38 m deep and the fallen stone is 2 m long x 1m wide. Thom, Thom and Burl suggest a lunar alignment, possibly the Moon at the major standstill.
