Site of an earthwork, which has been variously ascribed to the Romans, Wallace and General Monk, who is said to have occupied the site in 1651, is said to have stood in this area. There is now no trace of an earthwork remains except an old plantation baulk 0.7m high, which forms the western continuation of the stone dyke bounding the north side of Baldragon Wood, and at NO 3644 3498, curves northwards towards the north end of the plantation. The site occupies the highest point in the area and is thickly wooded.
