Balruddery House east gateway consisting of gates, gatepiers, quadrants and adjoining walls, designed by David Neave, circa 1820. Constructed of ashlar sandstone and rubble. The gates, dating to circa 1890, are wrought-iron, 2-leaf gates and side gates of intricate pattern. The gatepiers are two massive round-section gatepiers with a base course, pilasters, moulded architrave and cornice, domical cap with squat urn finial and pilasters to the left and right projecting as gateposts. The quadrants consist of 6-course polished ashlar walls, including a base course, coped balustrade, piers to the left and right with rounded pyramidal caps and flanking rubble walls. Balruddery House (NO33SW0109) was designed by David Neave for James Webster in circa 1820 and this gateway probably dates from that time.
