Remains of a railway station. Opened circa 1845 by the Newtyle and Glamis Railway and closed on 11/06/1956, the line being closed to all traffic circa 1981. The goods yard of the station to the east has a massive three-storey granary (which is Category C Listed) a 2- by 4-bay rubble building, with a railway track running through the ground floor. On the 1st edition OS map it is shown as a through station, with two staggered platforms, the northern with a probable shelter and the southern with the station building. To the east is the goods yard with granary. By the 2nd edition OS map there is a footbridge shown at the station, a signal box and other buildings are marked and the goods yard has a crane. The 2006 map shows that the vast majority of features associated with the station have been removed. A house now occupies the former trackbed at the site of the station. The goods yard area remains intact, with the granary, but the crane has been removed.
