Details Standing stone. It is 1.6m high x 0.7m x 0.8m, tapers to a pointed top and is leaning northwards. It is unsculptured although Crawford mentions 'artificial pockmarks about 1inch apart' on the west face. These appear to be due to weathering. Warden says this stone was surrounded by a stone circle more than 18m in diameter and Reid notes that the positions of at least six stones can be traced to the south of the remaining stone, when the field is in grass but none was noted during field investigations. Crawford notes that the stone stands on a mound but this is not so.
