Site of a possible motte. The Court Hillock, called a 'mote' by Reid, had been levelled by 1884. Warden states that it was apparently in use up to 1632. This feature is a small rounded mound, circa 15.0m in diameter and 1.0m high. It is rather small for a motte, but is now too vague to determine its original character. There was no ditch around its base. The site is marked upon both the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps but the 2006 map shows that the site has been partially built upon by modern housing.
