Details Site of house and castellated mansion. The former house of Lindertis (a house has existed on the site since the 16th century) was probably incorporated in the 19th century castellated mansion which was built 1814 with west wing added 1864. The house was demolished in stages after the Second World War: the roof of the main house was removed in 1947 leaving the west wing standing and inhabited by estate workers. The final demolition took place in 1987. The mansion was built to the designs of J Murray Robertson in 1899.
