Remains of twelve ruined buildings, two enclosures and some banks, recorded by Headland Archaeology during a survey of the Balnaboth Estate 1998. The buildings range in size from 7m to 16m in length, and 3m to 4m wide, defined by turf-covered stony banks up to 2m in width standing up to 0.7m high. They are all single roomed, generally subrectangular in plan, although two are oval in plan and two have traces of attached small yards or enclosures,. One building with sub-rectangular enclosure 7-12m by 15m is depicted on the OS 1st edition map, but not on the 2nd edition.
