Details Possible site of Roman fort or camp. Rivet and Smith interpret the name 'Horrea Classis' found in records of Roman Britain as applying to an as yet unlocated Roman fort near Monifieth. However, Frere thinks that a fort at Monifieth is most unlikely and the more probable location to fit this name would be at Stonehaven.
