A battle axe of uncertain provenance. It is in the Royal Museum of Scotland (now NMS) and has only 'Angus' as the location of the find. It was discovered some time before 1950. Roe lists it as belonging to a northern variant of his stage III Scotsburn group, with a shaped, angular butt, short in proportion to their maximum depth with the two expanded ends close together. This example is decorated.
