United Free church, originally named West Free Church, also known locally as West Kirk, depicted on the OS 2nd edition map. The church is rectangular in plan with two towers at the front and a hall complex to the rear. The front elevation, of sandstone ashlar masonry, has a central gable with deeply moulded round-arched entrance with attached columns, within which is a stylised carved tympanum supported by a single column. Above the entrance is a pointed arch window, with a thin stone spire on the west gable end and a cross finial on the gable apex. Attached to the west side is a side aisle with gablets, and to the east is a three-storey tower with lancet windows and large crenelations. The east elevation has the tower on the southeast corner, with four bay wall to the east with rectangular windows at ground level and larger trefoil and quatrefoil windows above. The west elevation is similar, though with a smaller tower in the southwest corner. Internally the church is divided into nave and side aisle, with a horse-shoe gallery on three sides facing the pulpit. Memorials include plaques commemorating men from the church who fell in World War I and those who lost their lives in World War II. In 2019, the Angus Cycling Club World War II War Memorial was relocated to the church.
