Details Remains of a township comprising at least six buildings, a kiln and two enclosures lie on the sides of Noran Burn just east of where it joins the Toardy Burn. On the 1st edition OS map it is called 'Burnroot' and is marked as ruinous. The enclosure to the north-east is annotated as a sheepfold.
