Details Cropmarks of an unenclosed settlement, enclosures, linear cropmarks, and a possible pit-alignment overlain by rig and furrow. Recorded by the RCAHMS in 1981 and subsequently in 1982, 1983, 1994 and1996. In 1992, AOC (Scotland) Ltd conducted a magnetometer survey and trial trenching of circa 0.8ha. These investigations revealed a variety of features reflecting prehistoric to recent use of the site, including a possible timber souterrain (only partially exposed in a trench), rig and furrow cultivation and an early 19th century stone conduit built to supply water to the former mill at Nether Kelly.
