Site of a cist cemetery. In the 19th century, several cists 'formed of rough slabs' were discovered in a seemingly artificial sub-rectangular gravel mound, at the eastern end of the Cur Hills. Mr Anderson (of Carlungie) reported that as many as eight cists, all empty, had been found there. These discoveries are marked on both the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps. Taylor reported the re-excavation one of these cists in 1952, probably discovered during sand quarrying. Contrary to Mr Anderson's report Taylor excavated two skeletons. No further information.
