Details Former ironworks and engineering works. The works is depicted on the 2nd edition OS map but not on the 1st edition OS map suggesting it was established in the later 19th century. Hume recorded them in 1974 as a mid 19th century and later complex of 1-storey buildings, mainly steel-framed and corrugated-iron-clad. The oldest ranges have single-storey, snecked-rubble frontages to the former Dundee and Arbroath Railway, with round-headed windows.
