Parish church, still in ecclesiastical use, and an adjacent hall to the rear. The church was built in 1835, extended in 1840 to form an L-plan and reconstructed in 1881-2 by William Aitkenhead. It is shown on the 1st edition OS map as an L-plan church with two T-plan buildings to the rear, depicted as a school. On the 2nd edition OS map the angle on the church has been partially filled. The two rear buildings have been extended to form one L-plan building, and are no longer depicted as a school. Current maps show the rear building as a hall. The west tower of the church had its steeple removed in 1950. It is a Quoad Sacra church, although it was originally erected as a chapel of ease, re-using stones from dunnichen chapel (NO54NE0004).
