Approximate findspot of a possible stone tool found 'at Dunnichen' and donated to the NMAS in 1880 by R. Dickson. It is an oval stone of quartz, 9.5 cm in length, 8 cm in breadth, and 9.5 cm in greatest thickness. It has an oval hollow, 6 cm x 4 cm and 1.25 cm deep, scooped in one of its flat sides, the other bearing an oblique depression similar to those of the 'belt stones' of the Iron Age of Scandinavia.
