Details Parish church and graveyard, in ecclesiastical use. The church was built in 1826 to a Thomas Telford design, using stonework from an earlier church on the site (NO55SE0005). The graveyard walls were rebuilt circa 1826. It is depicted on the 1st edition OS map as a rectangular, set within an irregular graveyard with a separated enclosure to the east. On the 2nd edition OS map there is a small addition to the east of the north elevation. The graveyard has been squared off to the east, incorporating the previously separated section. There is a new large rectangular enclosure show in this section of the graveyard. Current maps show the north elevation has been further extended. The church is a small, oblong, rubble-built gothic church with a classic belfry and slate roof. There is an original pulpit with an ogival canopy. Guthrie Parish war memorial is housed in the church in the form of a cabinet board listing the names of the fallen. A full transcription of the memorial is held in the AAS Digital Archive. There are some 17th and 18th century gravestones in the graveyard, which is entered through an arched gateway to the south-west (NO55SE0027). Within the churchyard are the First World War Commonwealth war graves of Lance Corporal R Craig, Gordon Highlanders, and Ordinary Seaman WJ Irvine, Royal Navy.
