Details Tower house with attached mansion, still in use, set within a designed landcape (NO55SE0004), depicted on historic OS maps. The tower house was built in 1468, and said to have been erected by Sir David Guthrie. The mansion house was built in circa 1760 as a detached house to the south-west of the tower, and it was attached in 1818. It was remodelled and extended in 1848 by David Bryce, at which time an attic storey and battlements were also added to the original tower. The OS 1st edition shows vases to the north and south of the house, but these do not appear on the OS 2nd edition map.
