Details Site of a spring and chapel. According to the antiquarians Warden and Jervise a spring, known as the Lady Well, was associated with the chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which stood a short distance to the north, in a field near Chapelton, and is mentioned in 1319. The Hermitage of Kilgery (NO56NE0003), is described as 'the Hermitage of the Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary' in 1445. The chapel is said to have been demolished and its stones used in building the farm-steading. No trace and no further information.
