Details	An assessment was carried out in 1998 in an area to the east of the present graveyard at Edzell prior to a proposed development. Two sherds of pottery were recovered from the topsoil layer, they are probably of late medieval/post-medieval date. The sherds do not fit together, but they appear to be from the same vessel. There are some traces of an external yellow glaze. Now in Brechin Museum.
