Remains of a brick and tile works, now derelict. On the 1st edition OS map the complex is shown as five buildings at the west of the site and is annotated as a tile works. One building is a long range, which has been removed by the 2nd edition OS map. On this map two large extraction areas are visible to the northeast of the original group of buildings, and a second group of four buildings are shown to the north of the quarrying. The 2006 map shows that one building from the original group of buildings is still in use, and the remains of two buildings from the second group are also shown. Extraction has extended further northeast and a large building is shown to the immediate northwest of the remains of the second group. The area to the east of the buildings is used for dumping refuse. Most of the original ponds have been filled in apart from one, which has been enhanced and maintained for fishing. The site was described by Hume in 1974 as mid 19th century. The most substantial remains here are the sides and end walls of a large rectangular tile kiln, and 2 wide bays of single-storey wood and brick drying sheds, with Belfast roofs. There are the remains of the foundations of other buildings. Beside one of the flooded claypits, is a Parker bucket-chain excavator, the last known in Scotland.
