Cropmarks of a rectangular timber building, lying within a palisaded enclosure recorded by CUCAP (dates not on record at NMRS) and the RCAHMS since 1976 during continued aerial reconnaissance. The building, measuring approximately 18m in length by 9m in breadth within a palisaded enclosure 60m x 75m, lies in a field southwest of Boysack. This probable timber hall is similar to those at Balbridie and Crathes in the River Dee valley in Aberdeenshire, Claish in Stirlingshire and at Lockerbie Academy, Dumfries and Galloway.
