Details Possible site of a collegiate church. Cowan and Easson state that 'References are found between 1561 and 1572 to the provostry of Our Lady in Arbroath. There is no other mention of a secular college in Arbroath, but the reference may be to a chantry 'beside the bridge' of that town of which a principal chaplain of the Blessed Virgin Mary is mentioned, 4 Jan 1519/20.' No further information.
