Site of a tumulus. According to the NSA, a large tumulus on top of Wuddy Law, had been removed and 'urns' had been found in it. The tumulus was circa 41m in diameter and circa 1.2m high. The OS noted in 1858 that the tumulus had been cleared away circa 1810 and that a Mr Walker saw the urns in the farmer's house. In 1978, the RCAHMS recorded 'an area of darker soil approximately to the reported size of the cairn' located around the trig point on Wuddy Law. The site was recorded as 'One gets the impression of a ploughed down 'rim' with a hollowed centre. In this area the stone material ploughed up in the soil, is different to that elsewhere (although slate is also present)'.
