Details Cropmarks of a pit-defined cursus recorded by CUCAP in 1975 and subsequently also by the RCAHMS and AAS. Continued reconnaissance has reveal three parallel lines of pits running west-southwest to east-northeast across the field to the southeast of Inchbare. Two of the lines of pits, which extend for a distance of at least 300m, are set 20m apart, and unite at the west-southwest end in a square terminal. The third line lies about 10m to the south-southeast. A review of the evidence now suggests that what was originally thought to be a palisaded enclosure, measuring approximately 300m x 20m, is possibly a pit-defined cursus. There are also curving broad traces of rig and furrow showing as cropmarks.
