Late Bronze Age sword, of Ewart Park type, which was found in digging at the railway station before 1888 and is now in Montrose Museum as part of the Lord Panmure collection (originally Montrose 71). The classification was refined by Burgess and Colquhon as their Northern step 2. Its dimensions are: 63.2 cm long, 4.3 cm wide at the terminal, 4.95 cm wide at the shoulder with a maximum blade width of 4.2 cm. It is well cast, in mostly good condition, but the edge is battered. The original surface of the blade is showing. The rivets were in the pattern 2:2, none are in situ.
