Site of infectious diseases hospital, built in 1897 by Patrick Hill Thoms to plans drawn up by Thomas Martin Cappon. It is situated to the North-West of the Brechin Infirmary (NO66SW0051), which was opened a year earlier in 1896. It is made up of three buildings. There is a U-plan building, open to the East, with a rectangular building to the North-West of it, and a T-plan building to the North. By 1940, it was converted into accommodation for the aged and infirm. It has since been demolished, and is now parkland to the rear of the present Brechin Infirmary. Also known as the Join Infectious Diseases Hospital and the County Hospital.
