Details	The discovery of three cannons is recorded 'near the forward gun of HMS Argyll at the Bell Rock'. Two are 'short' and one 'long'. In 1800 Stevenson found a cannon ball on the rock along with 101kg of other wreckage on the rock while looking where to site the lighthouse.
