A small round metal ball discovered during dredging operations in the River Southesk, reported in 2004. The ball is 104 mm in circumference. It was possibly used in a 'hagbut of crok', a small field gun which could be mounted on a cart, in a gunloop or on battlements, and was used in the 15th and 16th centuries. It is now in Montrose Museum.
