Gateway over the South driveway to Craig House (NO75NW0389), built in the 16th century and set within a designed landscape (NO75NW0010). The wall covering the driveway is flanked by the remains of round defensive towers, and has a heavily corbelled parapet walk. The gate itself is within a segmental round-headed arch. The arch supports a pair of substantial iron carriage-gates, with the archway above filled with an iron grate, with 'QUI S'Y FROTTE S'Y PIQUE' painted across it (roughly translated as: 'if you go looking for trouble you'll find it').
